RAYSTOWN LAKE BIRDING TOUR

Lake Raystown was finished in 1973 as an 8300 acre flood control lake to control waters on the Juniata River.  A federal U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recreation area was developed surrounding the lake and is a premiere recreation and wildlife viewing area in Central Pennsylvania.  Birding opportunities abound throughout the area, but this guided tour is not just for birders.
